Principal’s Newsletter/Boletín del Director

10/1/2018

Principal’s Newsletter: October 2018
Dear Orozco Family:

One of the best complements I heard this year was from a student who told me: “I love this school!” The truth is that we work very hard in doing our best when educating our students. We work hard in developing relationships with students and families because we know that no significant learning can occur without a significant relationship.

During the month of bullying prevention, I want us to think about the behavior of adults during dismissal. The lives of our children are at danger because of how some adults behave when they park their cars to pick up their own children. Ask yourself: did I park legally? Am I blocking the bus that picks up other students? When we are having a disagreement with another adult, are we having a conversation in a peaceful way or are we shouting at each other?

I believe we can do better. If you have any thoughts, ideas or suggestions on how to improve our dismissal process, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at emartinez10@cps.edu.

Respectfully,

Pregúntese a usted mismo: ¿me estacioné legalmente?

Respetuosamente,
Efraín Martínez
