Dear Orozco Family:
Welcome back to the new year! We started the year after three amazing performance shows by our students; our students gathered signatures and requested a vending machine for the school; our students set precedent as the first elementary school in the city with this resource. Our preschool team earned the Gold Circle of Quality Award for their awesome work and our bilingual gifted program is being considered for an expansion that will provide equity of access to more students. It’s a great time to be at Orozco!
There will be three important community meetings that I strongly suggest you add to your calendar and attend: Wednesday, January 9th at Orozco, Wednesday, January 16th at Cooper and Thursday, January 31st at Central Office (42 W Madison). These public meetings will run from 6:00-8:00PM and they are designed for any member of the community to ask questions and to share your comments about the dual proposal of the bilingual gifted program at Orozco and the expansion of the middle grades at Cooper Dual Language. Please remember that this is your school, this is the school of your children and our students. Please consider attending to at least one of the meetings and I hope to see you there.
Respectfully,
Efraín Martínez
Principal
Respetuosamente,
Efraín Martínez
Director
