Orozco provides gifted, differentiated instruction to all students which means our students learn according to where they are and what they need.
Orozco provides bilingual education with dual language instruction in Kinder and 1st, in addition to a World Language class in 2nd through 8th. Our World Language class ensures our students maintain and grow their heritage language, while also integrating other content areas.
Orozco has both a full time Case Manager as well as an English Language Proficiency Teacher who work together to ensure that our Diverse Learners and Language Learners receive appropriate accommodations and modifications. They also work alongside our teachers to ensure they get the support they need to best engage their students.
Our Behavioral Health Team and extra social worker ensure that every student's social and emotional needs are met, and that character is built and strengthened here at Orozco.
We host after school classes through AmericaSCORES such as Ballet Folklorico, Bilingual Yoga, Robotics, and Soccer in order to continue our students' learning beyond the school day.
Our partnerships with Gads Hill and the YMCA allow families who need more robust after school child care support (later student pick up, programming from first day of school to last day of school) to still attend Orozco.
Our partnerships with the Mexican Museum of Art, Shedd Aquarium, Uniting Voices Chicago Choir, and the Chicago Botanic Garden provide our students with authentic, engaging learning opportunities beyond the everyday curriculum.
