Greetings from The Resource Force! Whether you have already hosted your live performance or your show is still coming up, schools participating in The Resource Force are busy saving energy – and that includes your school! So far, Orozco Fine Arts Science Elementary School has saved 7,877 kilowatt-hours by signing up for 50 free Resource Kits.
Resource Rewards Update While saving energy is its own reward, The Resource Force awards cash prizes for your efforts. SCHOOL REWARDS Congratulations to these schools who recently reached 100+ Resource Kit sign-ups and won $250!
TEACHER WINNERS Through December 2017, The Resource Force awards $500 every month to a science teacher who helps their students’ families sign up for their free kits through The Resource Force. Teacher winners are drawn from Resource Kit sign-ups credited to them – the more sign-ups credited to a teacher, the better chances that teacher has to win! Congratulations to our first science teacher winner: Martha Peña at Orozco Fine Arts & Sciences Academy! We will draw the next science teacher winner on Friday, October 20, 2017. Science teachers: encourage your students’ families to sign up for their kits and credit you to win!
Your families and staff can request their FREE Resource Kits and credit your school at ResourceKit.org, by calling 1-844-452-1160, or by mailing in a completed postage-paid request form.
Thank you for encouraging your staff and students’ families to request their kits and make a difference for our planet. When you request and use your kits, energy is saved. It’s as simple as that. And with your help, we’re hoping to save 1 million kWh of energy together this fall. Can we make it? Thank you again for all of your energy-saving efforts and for your participation in this program. Dear Orozco Family: We hope that you are having a great school year! We have worked very hard in order to ensure that we keep improving for the benefit of students. Due to financial limitations, we have been doing our best to cut expenses in order to ensure students have everything they need. We lost two positions and we are trying to save in paper and ink as much as possible. To give you an idea, we spend about $7,000 in paper and ink during the school year. You will notice we will send less paper with announcements home; we ask that you stay connected with us via our website, robo-calls, texts, emails, Twitter, Google Calendar, Class Dojo and Parent Portal. Around 70% of parents are connected to Class Dojo. I hope that by the next newsletter, I can say that at least 90% are connected.Thank you for your support and understanding.
