Principal's Newsletter / Boletín del Director

1/9/2018

Principal’s Newsletter: January 2018
Dear Orozco Family:

Welcome to 2018! I hope everyone had a great winter break with family and friends. We are so enthusiastic of welcoming students back!
There are many activities this month; particularly important is the after school fair this Friday at 3:15. Please remember to come with your child to register for after school programs. 8th grade students and families also have important upcoming deadlines and we will have a special fundraiser at McDonalds (1664 S Blue Island Ave) to benefit all students during our popular Día del Niño on the 26th.
Finally, let’s welcome three new members to our Orozco Family. Ms. Samantha O’Neill joins us as our 7th grade humanities teacher. She comes to us with ten years of experience and she has already made a great impression with students. Also, let’s welcome Ms. Erin Reardon as our middle school DHH teacher. We are so lucky to have her, as she’s one of the few certified teachers in the entire State. Last but not least, let’s welcome Ms. Nisaini Rivera, who joins us as our new Youth Intervention Specialists.  A certified teacher, Ms. Rivera comes to us with experience in social emotional interventions and discipline.
Let’s make it a great year!

Respectfully,
 Efraín Martínez
Principal

Respetuosamente,
Efraín Martínez, Director
