From ParentSquare: Many of you are aware of recent hacking incidents with other K-12 platforms. To protect your ParentSquare community, we are releasing an update called Password Monitor. Here’s how it works. Anytime a user enters a password in ParentSquare, such as during sign-in, password reset, or new account registration, they will be alerted if we detect that the password represents a potential security risk. We will require that they change their password to continue. We determine this by comparing the password with a public list of passwords included in known security breaches.
Users who access ParentSquare from their SIS portals or Google using Single Sign On (SSO) are not affected since they do not need to enter a password to access ParentSquare. Comments are closed.
