Taylor Adams is a new addition to the Orozco family and extremely excited to be a part of the beautiful community. Ms. Adams was born and raised in Chicago where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Upon graduating, she taught 8th grade Math at Sawyer Elementary School. This wonderful experience inspired Ms. Adams to serve with the United States Peace Corps as an education volunteer teaching underprivileged children in a rural village in Uganda, East Africa. While in Uganda, she taught English Language Learners reading strategies as well as Math skills while also training future teachers at a Primary Teachers’ College for over two years. After returning from her service, she began teaching 5th-8th grade Math at Keller Regional Gifted Center. Ms. Adams continued her education earning her Master of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language from the American College of Education. Seeing the astonishing community that Mr. Martinez and his team have built at Orozco, Ms. Adams decided this would be a great next step as an educator.
Ms. Adams is an animal lover who enjoys spending her free time walking dogs by the lake and taking in the breaktaking city view. On the weekends she spends time with her grandma learning new recipes to cook.
