Brennen Humphrey joined the Orozco Academy staff in 2016 as an Assistant Principal. Ms. Humphrey previously worked in Indianapolis and Boston in various roles including: high school math teacher, College Transition Counselor, Lead Teacher and Principal Intern. She most recently worked at Cooper Dual Language Academy as a Resident Principal. Ms. Humphrey believes every student deserves a high quality education and is committed to the relentless pursuit of excellence for all students at Orozco Academy. She is a firm believer in the African Proverb that it “takes a village to raise a child”, as it requires investment of all stakeholders (parents, teachers, community members, administration) to help a child reach his/her full potential.
Ms. Humphrey earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and International Business at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching Secondary Mathematics at Marian University, and a Master of Education Degree in School Leadership at Harvard Graduate School of Education. In her free time, Ms. Humphrey loves exploring Chicago, taking boxing classes, learning to cook, improving her DIY skills with Pinterest Projects, and spending time with friends and family.
